Your Purpose Can Miss You On Purpose

I am a firm believer in everyone having a purpose. No two people are just alike. Everybody has a destiny that was placed upon their lives even before they were created in the womb. It’s pretty dope how we have created so many things around us just to survive.

Sometimes we get too caught up in our surroundings and we miss our purpose. It’s not until we are stuck in a smothering place; where we are frantically searching for a way out or our reason for even living. Asking questions like

“What am I supposed to do?”

“Why am I here?”

Now you’re searching for your purpose and at this point your purpose is hiding from you. It (your purpose) is right in front of your face but you keep missing it. That’s partly because your purpose is missing you on purpose.

All my life I have heard that blessings are waiting on you but you cannot receive them until you are ready. So how can you serve your purpose if you are not ready? If you are not prepared for the purpose or blessings that you prayed for, you will not get it (and I don’t just mean that in a physical sense).

There are specific lessons in our lives meant to prepare us for our purpose. That heartache, that loss, that disappointment, that criticism, that injury… all preparation for your purpose. Of course you don’t see it in that moment because the pain consumes you and dims any light of hope. In all things, good or bad, find the lesson that you are meant to learn. If you keep missing the lesson, your purpose will continue to miss you.

Please don’t give up, I have great news for you! Your purpose has always and will always be within you. It (your purpose) is floating around you, guiding you, comforting you and quietly protecting you. It’s in the core of who you truly are and it’s patiently waiting for everything else in your body to click and connect. IT MUST CLICK!!! … IT MUST CONNECT!!! ... in order for you to step into your purpose.

Here are some steps to making that connection (in no particular order):

1) Meditation/Prayer

Quiet your mind by focusing on your breathing. Send out any questions and/or intents into the universe and just let the answers come to you.

2) Self-Care

Take vitamins, exercise/yoga, treat your skin nice, quote positive affirmations daily, and get regular checkups. If you need help, please don’t be afraid to reach out for it.

3) Be You

Who else can possibly do it?!? Find what brings you joy and do that unapologetically. Don’t let what people think, define you.

4) Be Your Friend

You know you will go hard for your true friend so why not yourself. We are way too hard on ourselves and quietly start resenting ourselves for it. Step away if you must but find that unconditional love for yourself and treat yourself like a friend in need of support. Love yourself, pray for yourself, comfort yourself, encourage yourself, smile at yourself, and support yourself.

5) Be Patient

Be content where you are and accept things for what they are. Great things take time so don’t cheat yourself by rushing them.

6) Be Present

Be aware of what’s going on around you. Cherish each moment and feel them completely through all senses.

7) Release stress positively

Do something therapeutic like getting a massage, create art, reading, dancing, playing music, or laughing with family and family. Whatever relaxes and keep you calm is good for your body and mind when you just need an escape or release.

When you figure out what your purpose is, you MUST embrace whatever it is. What your life supposed to be can be totally different from what you thought it would be. Please don’t let your purpose pass you by. It’s such a beautiful thing when you realize WHO YOU ARE, tap into it and send out that manifesting energy. You never know who needs you.

Sending great vibes,

K.P.
